Using the 3-days holiday, I went to Kyoto with my family. We bought a special package at JCK Co at 22 000 JPY/person, it included round trip Shinkansen tickets and stay at hotel for 2 nights, such a price is very low, I think.

We arrived in Kyoto at 14:00, checked in at the hotel, and went to Osaka. In Osaka we visited the Castle and Umeda luxury shopping area and returned to Kyoto in the evening. Next day we travelled in Kyoto by bus. It was very convinient, the bus goes to all the places of interest, and the free pass ticket costs only 500 JPY. You can buy such ticket in hotels in Kyoto.

We visited all the spots during one day. The third day in the morning we bought some presents and souveniers in the morning, and returned to Tokyo by Shinkansen departing at about 14:00. It was a great journey.
